SAKURA FANG

Within Myself
A photograph series describing the balance of both darkness and light in a person. Often mirroring each other, this series aims to show both how a person portrays themselves as functional and normal in society/public, yet hides a darker, more tainted self within. Shown through Kaneki, an anime character from the series Tokyo Ghoul, his mask and eye shows the suffering and corrupt part of a person. This series has been physically printed on Glossy paper to mimic a mirror and arranged in a straight line transitioning from light to darkness. It is intended to be viewed both left to right and vice versa, showing that the balance does not just go one direction.
Post editing was done in Adobe Lightroom.
