Petals of War

A photograph series that features the Japanese Vocaloid Hatsume Miku in her Senbonzakura outfit. The outfit revolves around the reconstruction of imperial Japan during the Meiji Restoration. With symbolism to the cherry blossoms, it shows the fragile beauty of Japan, left devastated by war and fighting. The song, Senbonzakura, talks about missing a beloved overseas during the war; by fighting for peace, the war will cease and she'll be reunited with her beloved.
